2019 competition season pictures

For the 2019 racing season, Zips Electric Racing competed with ‘Veronica’, the first ever all-electric car from The University of Akron. Over the season, the team took Ron to the Formula North competition (placing 6th) and the Formula Electric competition (placing 5th). The car weighs in at 520 lbs. and features a 300 V lithium-ion battery pack.

2021 Competition Season Pictures

For the 2021 racing season, Zips Electric Racing competed with our electric car ‘Karen’. At the Formula SAE Michigan event, Karen placed 3rd overall for electric vehicles.
